Description The Nakajima Ki-43, officially designated Army Type 1 Fighter, was the most numerous of all single-seat fighters used by the Imperial Japanese Army in World War II. While operating in Malaysia and Burma the plane received the codename "Jim" and in the Pacific Theatre it received the allied codename "Oscar".
